About Fine Fragrance Oil

First we want to thank you for taking the first step in purchasing your fine fragrance oil.

We realize there are many companies (just like us) on this internet, claiming their perfume oils are the best. Unlike us however, many of them don’t know how perfume oils are made. So let’s be logical here. How can a company claim they have “the best” when they can’t tell you how their products are made!

HOW ARE YOUR PERFUME OILS MADE? Before answering this and other questions maybe you need to know what perfume oils are. Perfume oils are combinations of various essential oils blended together to produce a fragrance. Essential oils are the hormones or life forces of a plant. Essences are extracted from various plant parts such as the flowers, leaves, bark and roots. Many of the essences that were once taken from animals are now being simulated and reproduced in the laboratory. This is due mainly to animal rights issues. All of the previously mentioned extracts are what we consider to be essential essences. Essential essences are very pungent robust aromatics. When these aromatics are blended together in the appropriate proportions, they create specific fragrances. Although fragrances have been in existence since before 4000 BC, traditionally, there have only been two major applications in which fragrances were used: (1) Personal Care (which are soaps, gels, lotions, shampoos, perfumes and deodorants, etc.) and (2) Commercial Fragrances (such as detergents, room or house deodorizers, car refreshers, etc.).

Today, however, there are two new major applications in the fragrance arena AROMATHERAPY (therapy through the use of scents) and Perfumed Body Oils. The practice of AROMATHERAPY has been around since early Egyptian times. It is theorized that using essential oils can relieve many physical and mental ailments. To achieve these benefits, the essentials used must be in their purest form. The downside to this is that it can become very costly. Through experimentation with the essentials, it is now realized that the essence of the fragrance, blended with carrier oil can also produce the effect of AROMATHERAPY, which is very cost efficient. An added plus to this application is its ability to be used on the body. Not only is this much nicer aromatically, but it lasts longer when worn on the body. Hence the evolution of Perfume Body Oils.
